Pembroke Lane is a 10‐acre real estate redevelopment project located adjacent to the Los Angeles Convention Center, L.A. Live and Staples Center Arena in downtown Los Angeles. Twenty sites containing a mixture of underused commercial structures will be repositioned into a nightlife‐oriented transit village.
Anchored by LA Metro Transit Authority’s Pico/Chick Hearn multiple light‐rail station and adjoining bus lines, the district is planned to feature live‐entertainment venues, a theatre, restaurants, retail, market‐rate housing, a theatre and a boutique hotel. Also included in the project design is a public bridge and landscaped walkway linking the transportation hub and Pembroke Lane with Staples Center/L.A. Live and the Convention Center.
The project is designed to achieve LEED certified energy sustainability through the use of solar panels, rooftop gardens, public transportation incentives and green building materials and design.
